Rangeland livestock farming systems (RLFS) are integral to sustainable development of agriculture in Europe, supporting the European Green Deal through vital ecosystem services. However, these systems face numerous challenges that threaten their viability. The EU-funded DIGI-Rangeland project seeks to address these challenges by creating an innovative network focused on digital technologies and data solutions tailored for farmers and land users in rangeland areas. Using a multi-actor approach in 10 countries, the project will facilitate knowledge sharing among EU stakeholders and foster collaboration on digital innovation. By identifying the needs and barriers faced by practitioners, the project will evaluate and promote effective digital solutions to ensure the resilience and sustainability of RLFS across Europe.
