CITAB was formed through a merging of prior R&D units (CETAV, CECEA, CEGE) under UTAD. It is deeply multidisciplinary and integrates researchers from multiple fields. It has been evaluated “VERY GOOD” in several FCT evaluations and has a strong orientation toward stakeholder engagement, technology/innovation transfer, sustainability and resilience in agrifood/forestry ecosystems. It also participates in European projects (e.g. LivingSoiLL) and contributes to advisory, training, and innovation initiatives.
