The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) supports research and development projects for innovations in the German agricultural and food industry. The BMEL's innovation funding is a so-called framework programme. These programmes aim to ensure a high level of research and development performance in selected areas by international standards. You will receive the funding as a grant. The amount of funding depends on the type of project and is up to 50 per cent of the eligible costs for industrial research and feasibility studies, and up to 25 per cent of the eligible costs for experimental development.
